    1998 Hacker-Craft 24ft Triple Cockpit Runabout – SOLD

    $65,000.00

    1998 Hacker-Craft 24 Triple Cockpit Runabout.

This Hacker-Craft was built at the Hacker-Craft factory at Lake George, New York. In the Late 80’s, Bill Morgan of Silver Bay, NY, resurrected the historic Hacker name and began to build new Hacker-Crafts based on the original designs from the 30’s. These are not your granddads boats as these modern Hacker-Crafts feature wood epoxy construction. These boats will go in the water leak free due to the multiple lamination of plywood and solid mahogany with marine epoxy flues. The hull sides as well as the decks receive the same robust construction. Plank movement is virtually reduced, lowering maintenance costs.

The current owner purchased this boat in August of 2006 from Sierra Boat’s Brokerage. The boat resided for many years at Lake Tahoe and is currently about 70 miles west of Tahoe in Grass Valley, CA. During the time it has been in Grass Valley, it has been stored in an insulated climate-controlled room.

The power comes from a very reliable fuel injected 454 Crusader engine with 350 hp. The transmission is a Borg Warner velvet-drive. The owner states that there has been little use from the time of purchase in 2006.

The boat is equipped with a 50-gallon fuel tank, two 12V battery system, a “Sea-Fire” automatic Halon 1301 fire extinguisher system, a custom-made cover with insulating deck pads and much more. The boat sits on a double axle surge brake trailer made by Sierra Custom Trailers in Corinth, New York. The trailer is in very good condition with new tires purchased 2018.

Recent cosmetic work and inspection was performed in 2018 by renown wood boat restorer Curtis Bauman in Grass Valley.  The bottom is in very good condition and the finish is close to showroom condition.

Hacker-Crafts are known for a very comfortable ride, even in rough waters. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own a Hacker-Craft at the fraction of the cost of a new one!

    $155,000.00

1998 Hacker-Craft 31 Runabout. This is a rare opportunity to buy a brand new Hacker-craft at a fraction of the new cost. This boat was delivered to California in May of 1998 and has never been used. The engines have been run annually, but otherwise it has not touched the water since leaving the factory. It had a desirable enlarged 2nd cockpit and includes a picnic table. Perfect for taking friends on a cocktail cruise. Twin engines give it terrific performance and the specification sheet shows a “bay bottom”, which mean’t it had a deeper dead rise than standard. Translation, it rides beautifully. It comes on the Hacker supplied Loadmaster trailer. It even has a toilet under the 3rd cockpit seat and a small refrigerator up front. Cover included along with a rear cockpit tonneau.

    2002 Hacker-Craft 26ft Expanded Cockpit Runabout – SOLD

    $99,800.00

    2002 Hacker-Craft 26ft Expanded Cockpit Runabout.

Hacker-Craft builds some of the finest, new construction runabouts around. Sierra Boat has a lot of history taking care of these boats and they are very well suited to Tahoe’s rough lake conditions. The designers at Hacker-Craft started with the antique Hacker designs of the 30’s and updated them for modern boating. The most notable feature of this model is the expanded middle cockpit. The original boats of this size would have had a three-cockpit configuration. The expanded cockpit gives the boat more seating and a layout that is easier to get around in.

Hacker-Crafts feature modern all epoxy glued construction. This means that they don’t need to soak up to float. It also means they are a much stronger boat and seam movement is virtually eliminated. They also feature a modern deep vee hull for excellent ride. This 2002 Hacker-Craft is power by a 5.7L fuel injected Crusader V-8. The boat also features a bow thruster for excellent maneuverability when docking.

Oski III 1924 Stephens 30ft Coaching Launch – SOLD

    $69,000.00

Oski III 1924 Stephens 30′ Coaching Launch.

The Oski III will always hold a special place in the hearts of many Cal Berkeley alumni.  Built in 1924 by Stephens Brothers Boat Builders and Designers in Stockton, California, Oski III was a custom commission by Cal Crew coaching legend Ky Ebright.  She was named after one of the campus’ oldest yells, “Oski Wow Wow, Whiskey Wee Wee, California Wow” and served as Ky’s training yacht for Cal crews for 32 years, including three Olympics at which Cal crews won gold medals.  She was crated up and shipped to Europe by ocean liner for the Amsterdam Olympics in 1928 and again for the London Olympics in 1948.

Oski III was designed to give the coach privacy in the cockpit and was built to potentially retrieve an additional 9-person crew in the event their shell was swamped.  After Ky Ebright retired in 1959, Jim Lemmon assumed coaching responsibilities and continued using Oski III for an additional 7 years before she was officially retired.  Sold by the University in 1968 and abandoned on a mudflat by the new owner in 1983, few who saw Oski III during that period would have ever imagined that she could be restored to her former glory.  After numerous renovations, Oski III is once again the beauty she was during Ky Ebright’s time.
