1942 Chris Craft 19ft Custom Runabout
The iconic custom runabout, also known as the Barrel Back, was produced from 1939 to 1942, with a total of 433 hulls produced. They represented the highest level of craftsmanship Chris Craft ever offered because it required skilled craftsmen to produce the full half circle transom shape. These boats were the inspiration for Carlo Riva and his legendary Ariston and Aquarama models.
This boat was completely restored in 2015 at Danbergs Boat Works in Manistee Michigan. The original bottom was replaced with a 5200 style bottom and also has its original inline sic Hercules engine.. As the owner researched factory specs using original materials, he brought the boat back to life better than when it left the factory. This was a three year restoration and was Danberg’s last before retirement.
In 2018, this boat was entered into the ACBS International boat show and won the platinum award in her category. This boat is still absolutely stunning today as she is displayed in our front showroom.
