1969 Riva Aquarama

Offered for sale is an extraordinary and meticulously preserved example of the world’s most iconic wooden powerboat, the legendary 1969 Riva Aquarama, Hull No. 332. Revered for its unrivaled craftsmanship, mid-century Italian design, and unmistakable presence on the water, the Riva Aquarama is not merely a vessel, it is an experience, a symbol of status, and a true piece of nautical art.

Only a limited number of these handcrafted masterpieces were ever produced by Carlo Riva’s famed shipyard in Sarnico, Italy, and each has become a coveted collector’s item among yachting connoisseurs and classic boat enthusiasts worldwide. Hull No. 332, Tievoli, stands out as a shining example, having benefited from an exceptional level of care and restoration throughout its life.

In 2010, we performed a comprehensive and meticulous restoration on Hull No. 332, including extensive bottom, side, and deck work, along with full varnish restoration and detailed mechanical servicing. With decades of experience in wooden boat restoration, we applied our deep expertise to ensure every aspect of the boat was brought back to its original glory with precision and authenticity. Since then, the vessel has continued to receive ongoing annual refinishing and mechanical maintenance by our team, preserving its show-quality condition and performance year after year.

This dedication to excellence has been repeatedly recognized on the concours circuit. In the past year alone, Tievoli was awarded Best Riva of Show and First Place at the prestigious Concours d’Elegance in Lake Tahoe—earning more boat show honors than any other Riva. It also took First Place at the South Lake Tahoe Boat Show, affirming its reputation as one of the most celebrated Rivas in existence.

From the gleaming African mahogany decks finished with a deep, mirror-like varnish to the elegant chrome hardware and signature double sun pad, every detail has been carefully revived or preserved to maintain authenticity. Powered by twin Riva-Crusader V8 engines, this Aquarama delivers the same exhilarating performance and smooth ride that once made it a favorite of royalty, celebrities, and tastemakers on the Mediterranean.

Whether destined for display in a private showroom or for spirited runs on the open water, Hull No. 332 is an extraordinary opportunity to own one of the most sought-after and awarded classic boats in the world. This is not just a boat—it is the embodiment of elegance, freedom, and timeless design, lovingly restored and maintained by one of the most experienced wooden boat shops in the industry.
