    1949 Hacker Craft 22ft Utility

Hacker Craft’s have been hand crafted since 1908 with John L. Hacker being the preeminent naval architect of mahogany pleasure crafts of the last century. Hacker Crafts are considered one of the most authentic American-made brands to this day.

This 1949 Hacker Craft 22ft Utility was limited in production making it rare. It has been said that only 3 of these models exist today. The high quality of construction is consistent with other post war Hacker Crafts produced at that time. The 22ft Utility offers three rows of seating making the layout perfect for cocktail cruising with guest or family adventure on the water.

This 1949 Hacker Craft 22ft Utility is powered by a Chrysler Marine M28 with around 180 hp. This engine performs extremely well with plenty of torque.

In the winter of 2008-2009, Sierra Boat Co. restored the decks, hull sides, transom, and interior bright work as well as new flooring. In 2019 the boat received new bottom paint. This boat features a West System no-soak bottom and is used each summer out of a slip at Sierra Boat Company.

Hacker-Crafts are known for a very comfortable ride, even in rough waters. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own a very rare Utility Hacker-Craft!

    2013 Hacker-Craft 30ft Sport

Hacker-Craft boats are known all over the world for their fine craftsmanship and sleek V-bottom design which allows greater speed at lower horsepower. Founded in Detroit by John Ludwig Hacker, Hacker-Craft has been a part of the wood boat scene for over 100 years. Today, in the small Lake George village of Silver Bay, in upstate New York, Hacker Crafts are still being built, every one of them by hand just as they were in the 1920s. They are in fact being built better than they were in the past. The new Hacker Boat Company offers reproductions of the original Hacker designs, augmented with the latest advances in boat-building technology. The current Hacker Crafts are faithfully built by hand, just as their predecessors were. By combining advanced building technologies with the best of John Hacker’s original designs, Hacker Craft has succeeded in making the new Hacker the ultimate in runabouts.

Hacker-Crafts feature modern all epoxy glued construction. This means that they do not need to soak up to float. It also means they are a much stronger boat and seam movement is virtually eliminated. Another main feature is the modern deep vee hull for an excellent ride in rough waters.

This 2013 Hacker Craft 30ft Sport is powered by a Mercury Maine 8.2L HO with 425 hp. The engine has 308.0 fresh water only engine hours. That is only 38.5 hours of use each year! This boat features; a bow thruster for easy maneuverability, a sun pad over the engine hatch, transom steps, depth finder, premium Fusion stereo system, teak swim platform with ladder, bimini top, cockpit fill-in cushions, and much more.

Hacker Crafts makes custom cast with solid stainless fittings that are exquisite. The joiner and varnish work are unsurpassed by any other builder in the world. The upholstery is furnished for unmatched comfort. The ride is stately and handling superb. They are, indeed, a possession of which to be proud of!

    1998 Hacker-Craft 24ft Triple Cockpit Runabout – SOLD

    $65,000.00

    1998 Hacker-Craft 24 Triple Cockpit Runabout.

This Hacker-Craft was built at the Hacker-Craft factory at Lake George, New York. In the Late 80’s, Bill Morgan of Silver Bay, NY, resurrected the historic Hacker name and began to build new Hacker-Crafts based on the original designs from the 30’s. These are not your granddads boats as these modern Hacker-Crafts feature wood epoxy construction. These boats will go in the water leak free due to the multiple lamination of plywood and solid mahogany with marine epoxy flues. The hull sides as well as the decks receive the same robust construction. Plank movement is virtually reduced, lowering maintenance costs.

The current owner purchased this boat in August of 2006 from Sierra Boat’s Brokerage. The boat resided for many years at Lake Tahoe and is currently about 70 miles west of Tahoe in Grass Valley, CA. During the time it has been in Grass Valley, it has been stored in an insulated climate-controlled room.

The power comes from a very reliable fuel injected 454 Crusader engine with 350 hp. The transmission is a Borg Warner velvet-drive. The owner states that there has been little use from the time of purchase in 2006.

The boat is equipped with a 50-gallon fuel tank, two 12V battery system, a “Sea-Fire” automatic Halon 1301 fire extinguisher system, a custom-made cover with insulating deck pads and much more. The boat sits on a double axle surge brake trailer made by Sierra Custom Trailers in Corinth, New York. The trailer is in very good condition with new tires purchased 2018.

Recent cosmetic work and inspection was performed in 2018 by renown wood boat restorer Curtis Bauman in Grass Valley.  The bottom is in very good condition and the finish is close to showroom condition.

Hacker-Crafts are known for a very comfortable ride, even in rough waters. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own a Hacker-Craft at the fraction of the cost of a new one!
